Bartlett Learning Center has had an official name change, we are now known as Clare Woods Academy. The Academy runs a regular school year (175 dys) program as well as a summer school program that provides a unique learning environment of specialized services for students with varying disabilities. Students from 41 different school districts in the Chicago suburban area ranging in age from 5-22 yrs old are enrolled at the school. The children represent all races, ethnic groups, religious denominations, and economic/social classes and they receive instruction from a core curriculum (math, science, reading, language arts, social studies, and consumer education), an enrichment curriculum (art, music, physical education, computer technology, library, and health), special services (occupational therapy, speech therapy, behavioral therapy, job training, and reading enrichment), and extracurricular activities (field trips, leadership training, social events, cultural programs, and special Olympics ).
