How long have you been in business?
BEST Search was founded in 2000.
What is your primary product or service?
Executive and Professional search in the Commercial P&C Insurance industry.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I started recruiting in 1995 to financially support my dream of becoming a professional singer. I loved the recruiting and scrapped the singing. I have a Bachelors in Business from Cornell and have participated in many insurance and recruiting forums both as student and presenter.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
At BEST Search, we make great matches. We are in business for the long term and would rather make a superb placement over the course of six months than jam a round peg into a square hole over the course of two months. We really care about all parties involved in the job search, both client and candidate.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have three physical locations, all in the Chicago area. However, recruiting is mostly a telephonic and cyberspace endeavor and our physical locations do not limit our geographic reach as search consultants.

Our fee structure is pretty standard: the client (the hiring company) pays our fee. The candidate does not pay.
