Hair to go was started in 1999 by Karen Morris, catering to elderly and sick patients homes to style their hair. Hair to go began to grow rapidly from one to many clients in one building and then on to many. We believe that the concept of "we come to you" is what our clients want and need without spending the long hours in the traditional beauty shop setting.
Hair to go started to travel across Chicago reaching more to the west,north and south-side then to the surrounding suburbs, with hiring many stylist.. Karen has been a hair stylist since 1986...starting from home to several beauty schools, one being PIVOT POINT.
Clients began to appreciate their hair done in the comforts of their own homes without the embarrassment and exposure of getting their hair done. We also cater to the very busy business woman who do not have to time to sit in a traditional beauty shop for hours... Karen has been in the entertainment business since 1992, debuting in the entertainment business modeling, music, videos, movies, calendars,magazines, t.v, and promoting concerts,from there bridging the two businesses together styling hair for the entertainers as well.
Hair to go has surveyed clients and found that most clients wanted their hair done within the comforts of they own homes. Many clients were having problems with either balding or damaged hair in which salons can be insensitive to their needs by not being private in some cases.
Hair to go services clients who travels from all over the world to Chicago and whom are not familiar with Chicago geographics.."we just wanted to be an all around mobil shop and we felt it was time to cater and spoil the clients in the comforts of their homes,simple".
