Chicago ORT Technical Institute has been providing technical and ESL training to Chicago area students for more than 20 years. The Chicago ORT Technical Institute is a nonprofit school and part of ORT, a much larger worldwide organization with over 800 schools in 60 countries. Today ORT trains 300,000 students worldwide each year.
Our state of the art facility located in Skokie offers an Associate Degree in Applied Science – Accounting, technical certificate programs and ESL courses. ORT Technical Institute is nationally accredited by ACCET and is approved by the Illinois Board of Higher Education. The curriculum is designed with the assistance of Chicago area companies and is in line with industry standards. Most ORT programs can be completed in less than a year. Morning, afternoon and evening classes are offered. Financial aid is available to students who qualify. Job placement assistance is provided to all students.

We are a career preparation school for students from all over the globe. The Institute’s staff and faculty are committed to preparing students for entry-level job opportunities through Healthcare, Business, IT, Design and English training.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
We are affiliated with World ORT which trains over 300,000 students worldwide each year.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are a Not For Profit technical and English language school. We are the best bargain in Chicago for a quality education at a relatively low cost. To help students reduce this cost even further, the college awards hundreds of scholarships annually.

From North and South: Exit Edens Expressway at Touhy Avenue West. Drive west on Touhy to Niles Center Road. Turn right on Niles Center Road and continue to Fargo Avenue. Turn left on Fargo to the ORT Technical Institute entrance.
Via the Kennedy Expressway
From West: Exit Kennedy Expressway at Harlem Avenue North. Turn left (north) onto Harlem Avenue and follow to Touhy Avenue East. Turn right onto Touhy Avenue to Niles Center Road. Turn left and continue to Fargo Avenue. Turn left on Fargo to the ORT Technical Institute entrance.
Via Central Avenue in Chicago
Drive North on Central Avenue until it becomes Niles Center Road (in Skokie). Turn left on Fargo Avenue and follow to the ORT Technical Institute entrance.

East and West: Pace Bus No. 290 stops at Touhy and Linder. Walk 2 blocks north to Fargo and one block east to the school. From Howard Red Line Station: Take Pace Bus No. 290 to Touhy and Linder.
