Founded in 1857, Lake Forest Academy is an independent boarding-day college-preparatory school for grades 9-12 located on 150 acres in the Chicago suburb of Lake Forest.
LFA has state-of-the-art facilities, including the James P. Fitzsimmons Athletic Wing, Crown Fitness & Wellness Center, The Cressey Center for the Arts, the two-story Reyes Family Science Center, and the recently opened Student Union, which houses the dining hall, campus store, mailroom, Stuart Center for Global Leadership, and student activities. Other campus buildings include historic Reid Hall, two boys' dormitories, three girls' dormitories, Glore Memorial Gymnasium and Pool, David O. How long have you been in business?
Founded in 1857 as an all-boys school, LFA moved to its present location on the J. Ogden Armour estate in 1948. Ferry Hall, an all-girls school, was founded in 1869 and merged with Lake Forest Academy in 1974.
