How long have you been in business?
Glen Lusby has been active in the Interior Design industry since 1984, and Glen Lusby Interiors has been established as a business since 1987.
What is your primary product or service?
Our primary focus is upper level residential work. We also do contract work and have done hospitality/restaurant work as well. We don't wish to be limited by a particular segment in the design field, but rather guided by the desires of our potential clients.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I was was always interested, even as a child in drawing house plans, furniture shapes, and building houses with plastic bricks and even creating furniture from pieces of scrap wood that I would get from my Father or Grandfather. One of my Grandmothers was constantly changing the interior of her home, and this is where I truly became interested and involved with what happens to make a house a home.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Glen Lusby Interiors is a much more intimate design firm. Because we know that doing a job well often means becoming involved in the deepest private parts of a client's life, we respect their privacy and guard it fiercely. We try to become more than just another business that is a part of your daily life.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We are based in Chicago, on the far Northside. This allows us to travel the entire Chicagoland area without a problem. We also readily travel to any other town, city or state that the project would dictate. Currently we have clients throughout Illinois, in Wisconsin, California, Florida and New York.

All time is by appointment, and given the nature of our work, we almost always go to the client.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept only cash i.e., checks. It is our experience that the type of clients we work with are most comfortable wtih this arrangement.

What are your hours of operation?
All times are by appointment. We are happy to be flexible with times as often as possible. For that reason we will make evening appointments and also on weekends, with advance notice.
