Piccolo Theatre, Inc. cultivates community development through the arts with dynamic educational, artistic and theatrical programming and events for all ages. PTI produces The Piccolo Theatre Ensemble, Piccolo Theatre’s Custer Fair, and Piccolo Theatre Comedy Arts Camps for youth ages 10-15. PTI also manages the Piccolo Theatre Arts Depot, which provides rental, meeting and studio/performance spaces at below market rates. Revenue generated by PTI’s programming is reinvested into community development; we provide employment and program scholarships, breathe new life into the function of our artistic home the historic Main Street Metra Station, and support local businesses by using them as vendors in collaborative relationships. Piccolo Theatre, Inc. is proud to be part of Evanston’s thriving arts community.

How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
PTI's programming is fortunate enough to operate on 80% ticket sales, planned giving, and private donations, and sponsorships; 20% is funded by grants. PTI's unique home inside a train station puts its annual community reach in the 300,000-400,000 range. The quality and quantity of PTI's programming is well-known internationally, and continues to thrive artistically with a core value of teaching and learning. PTI specializes in programming designed to make you laugh.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Piccolo Theatre, Inc. is located inside the Historic Main Street Metra Station on the Union Pacific North Line, and is part of the south Evanston community of the Main Street Station Shopping District.

Metra Train
The Piccolo Theatre is inside the Evanston Main Street Station on the Union Pacific North (UP-N) line. Metra rail schedules are available at www.metrarail.com.
CTA Train
The Main station on the CTA Purple Line is located within a 1-block walking distance of the theatre. When you arrive, exit the station and walk left to the corner. Turn left at the corner, and walk under the CTA bridge. You will see a brick-lined throughway on your left and a set of stairs ahead of you leading up to the Metra Platform. Piccolo Theatre’s Box Office is located inside the Piccolatte Café at the top of the stairs. CTA train schedules are available at www.transitchicago.com.

Piccolo Theatre is located half a bock west of Chicago Ave, in Evanston, IL. Chicago Ave becomes north Clark St in Chicago, IL.
Parking
Street parking is available around the theatre. Meters shut off at 6pm and are not active on Sundays. Please be aware of the street signs and park accordingly!
